This online diabetes consultation is intended for patients with a confirmed diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes mellitus and aims to:
In addition to patients with an established diagnosis, this online consultation is also intended for individuals at increased risk of diabetes. This includes patients who are overweight or have obesity, those presenting with relevant symptoms suggestive of dysglycaemia (such as needing to urinate more often than usual, feeling unusually thirsty, persistent tiredness, or unexpected weight changes), and individuals engaging in behaviours associated with elevated metabolic risk, including physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary patterns, or other lifestyle-related risk factors.
The consultation supports early risk assessment, appropriate investigation, and timely intervention to facilitate prevention, early identification, or referral for further evaluation where indicated.
