How does it work?

After confirming your booking, you’ll get a link to access your online video consultation or you will receive a phone call from one of our doctors, depending on the selected type of consultation.

If you opt for a phone consultation, please ensure that you are able to provide an Irish phone number for communication.

What can you expect from the GP video or phone consultation?

During the online GP consultation, the doctor conducts a thorough medical review by asking questions. The questions may cover symptoms, general condition or feeling of the patient, any health concerns, and the results of previous medical tests.

After running some checks, if necessary, the doctor will then recommend more tests, which may include imaging scans such as MRI, PET, or CT scan, prescribe medication or prepare a referral to a medical specialist. 

Some of most common health conditions treated on our online GP consultation (among others): 

• Respiratory: asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis and other acute infections
• Circulatory: hypertension or high blood pressure
• Endocrine: diabetes, metabolic diseases and immunity disorders
• Musculoskeletal: joint disorders, osteoarthritis and rheumatism
• Nervous system and sense organs: ear infections, migraines and pink eye
• Genitourinary: urinary tract (or bladder) infections, menstruation disorders and menopausal issues
• Mental disorders: attention deficit disorder, depression and anxiety
• Injury/poison: contusion or bruises, sprains, strains and open wounds
• Skin and subcutaneous tissue: eczema, cellulitis (bacterial infection of the skin and tissues beneath the skin) and abscesses (collection of pus build-up within the tissue)
• Infections and parasitic diseases: viral and chlamydial infections and strep sore throat

And if i need a medical certificate?

* Employers may require a medical certificate from your GP during sick leave. Regarding your condition the doctor may or may not provide you with a medical certificate (eletronic sick leave).

Our electronic sick leave is not accepted by the Department of Social Protection .
